There was some confusion about the rules for this competition but it was finally decided that it was scratch stableford with handicap add after. The winner was Charlie Fitzgerald (41 with best back 9), 2nd Syd Tutton (41) and Tim Barclay (39) 3rd.

This was the last Stableford of the year and was well attended. The spoils went to Ian Randle (38) with Bev Hope (37 better back 9) in second and Mike Jarrett (37) third.

21st October 2010 - Match against Battle - Home

In our last match of the season Battle were unable to field a full team of 12 so we had to settle for 5 matches. On a very enjoyable day we prevailed and WON 3:2.
I would like to thank all who have participated in our match and especially to those who filled in at the last minute when required.

14th October 2010 - Match against Limpsfied Chart - Home

We were pleased to welcome our freinds from Limpsfied for our pen-ultimate match of the season. I am happy to report that we WON 6:1. Congratulations to all our players and to Mort & Tim for magnanimously giving our opposition their only win! (or so Mort says).

7th October 2010 - Monthly Medal

The weather was kind and and the golf was reasonable. The competition was won by Bev Hope (63) after Ron Lamport (62) was disquilified for not signing his card, SHAME. Second was Tony Edwards (64) and JimSnook (66) was 3rd after countback over Mike Stummer (66).

30th September 2010 - Monthly Stableford

A splendid day with a great hole-in-one on the 6th by John Tomsett, well done John. A very close contest with 3 players all scoring 41 points. Tony Golding was 3rd, Dave Dickins was second, and in first place was David Roberts. Well done as this score takes him to the top of the leader board for the Monthly Stablefords, however Bob Stenhouse still tops both the Monthly Medals and the Rider Cup. A mention also for Richard Powell who with 40 points was only 4th!

A good attempt by Micheal Jarrett with 40 points but the trophy went to John Hoppe with 41 points. Congratulations John.

Apart from a win by your Captain and Mort Pickett the team lost 1:5, but a good day was had by all.

2nd Sepetember 2010 - Charity Day

A thank you to all who took part in a nice days golf with a special thanks to the Ladies and Guests. The winners were Tony Bryan and John Mulley (76 points), 2nd were Mort Pickett and Dave Wheeler (75) and 3rd were Mike and Neil Carey (74). The longest drive was won by Bob Stenhouse and the nearest-the-pin was Charlie Fitzgerald. Congratulations to all our winners. The raffle raised over £260 which will go to the Captains Charity this year, Hospice in the Weald.

A good days golf and a reversal of last year in that the Vets won 5:2.

A good day for golf with a WIN 4:2 on the day to reverse our result at Hawkhurst.

The splendid days golf was won by Bev Hope nett 62 with 2 others coming in with 62 as well.

3rd August 2010 - Ladies and Vets Flag Day

A disappointing turn-out with only 10 vets entering however an enjoyable days golf.

29th July 2010 - Match against Wellshurst

Our return match at Home in which we won 3 matches and halved 1, so a narrow win 3 1/2 : 2 1/2 but a win all the same!!!

22nd July 2010 - Match against Westerham

This year we were at Westerham for this match and were only able to Win one match (Richard Burger and Peter Jones) and Half one match (John Mulley & Tony Seymour) well done to them. So the result was a Loss 1 1/2: 4 1/2. Better luck in the return next year. Sorry for those caught in the heavy shower at the end of the match.

15th July 2010 - Match against Hawkhurst

The wind was the winner here but we did manage one Half, well done Bev Hope and David Roberts. So the match ended in a loss 1/2:5 1/2. Again we would like to reverse this in August!

12th July 2010 - Match against Wellshurst 

We had a good match here winning two but losing four. Hope we can reverse this in 2 weeks time!

8th July 2010 - Match against Bearsted

We were pleased to welcome our friends from Bearsted and the weather was good to start and getting hotter. We halved the match 3:3

5th July 2010 - Audrey Bird Trophy

We managed to turn out 16 gtentlemen to play with the ladies in a Greensomes / Stableford competition. The winners were Geoff Wanstall & Jill Rouse, congratulations!

26th June 2010 - Teams of Eight

The Vets entered a team of 8 into this event but unfortunately one member had a senior moment and forgot to turm up!!! We were given a pultry 22 points for him but still managed a credible 5th place (we could have been second!).

24th June 2010 - Invitation Day

We had a small but select turnout for this event with 14 members and 8 Guests. The winners were Ron Lamport & Paul Benson, the nearest the pin was Paul Benson and the longest drive was David Roberts. We had a well supported raffle with more prizes than participants , however poor Tony Seymour still did not win anything - shame!

17th June 2010 - Match against Horam

Our first time playing this venue in a match resulted in a Loss 2:4 which reversed the result at home, so honours even. Nice course but will look forward to playing it next year (if selected) with some course knowledge.

10th June 2010 - Match against Lingfield Park

We had our return match against Lingfield and managed to reverse the result. We WON 5 matches and halved the other. So honour restored. We had some rain to start with but it improved. We had our first meal from our new caterers and all agreed it was successful.

The team is on the board for our match at HORAM 17th June.

3rd June 2010 - 3 Counties Putter

We were pleased to welcome Holtye and Limpsfield Chart to this annual event. Unfortunately we lost out to Holtye (421) but beat Limpsfied (352) with our score of 406. Both Tony Bryan and Mike Sturmer scored 40 points but Mike took the individual trophy on countback. The weather was exceptional and the course was in good condition, I am sure everyone had a wonderful day.

1st June 2010 - Match at Sidcup

A team of 12 played at most 9 holes without rain and the result was very close. We won 2 matches, lost 3, and halved the last match which made for an exciting finish. We had an excellent meal and the occasion was enjoyed by all.

We were pleased to welcome John's Son Stan and his daughter Louise who presented the trophy. Again the winner was Bev Hope (39) with Tony Bryan (38) second.

Captains Drive - The Drive was measured at 190 yards.

Bev's round included a Hole-in-one at the 13th. Congratulations!
